TRC is an Australian regional government that needed a new platform for making a large amount of regional information and government services available to the public and to tourists. It needed to be done in an organized, easily searchable way.
The site needed to be attractive and useful for tourists, but still functional as a professional, government website. I worked closely with their IT department, with the site organization and page layouts receiving a lot of input to ensure their organizational and SEO needs were met. The design incorporates integration with several 3rd party and internal services, as well as layouts for various content scenarios.
The owners of House Rock Kitchen wanted to showcase the effort they put into serving healthy food, as well as reflect the atmosphere that makes their restaurant a family activity instead of just a meal. Additionally, the site needed to integrate a 3rd party online ordering system for takeout orders.
Maintaining the look and feel of the restaurant was the most important feature of the site. I used their interior and menu design to inspire the look of the site, while ensuring I could also implement everything within budget.
